Application deadline for $830,000 Office of Hawaiian Affairs grant is June 17

The Office environment of Hawaiian Affairs is seeking purposes for a $830,000 grant for a contractor to carry out its Unexpected emergency Monetary Support application throughout the pae ʻāina. The deadline to use is Friday, June 17 at 2 p.m. (HST).

The program gives Native Hawaiians with rental and utility help, and funding for auto repairs, funeral expenses and out-of-pocket health-related expenditures.  

The grant funds $415,000 for fiscal calendar year 2022 and $415,000 for fiscal 12 months 2023.  

This new grant is in addition to the $14.9 million in grant solicitations that the Place of work of Hawaiian Affairs announced in April to support the implementation of its Mana i Mauli Ola Strategic Program that addresses training, well being, housing and financial self-sufficiency.
